In the heart of upper Dovedale, the Packhorse Inn is one of the most picturesque hostelries in the Peak District. This lovely limestone public house dates back to the 16th century.......Our reviewers wrote 'We have just spent a wonderful holiday nr Buxton with our 7 month old Golden Retriever. We were all made very welcome and Cassie was even given several treats although we were asked if this was OK. They even welcomed us when we turned up very wet and muddy from a walk. The food and beer are excellent. Very friendly and welcoming pub'
