The Izaak Walton Hotel is a 17th Century converted farmhouse which offers comfort, history and views of outstanding beauty across the Derbyshire Peaks, named after the famous author of 'The Compleat Angler'. Original oak beamed and romantic window seats can still be found in some bedrooms and reception areas, offering wonderful views of Thorpe Cloud and Dovedale. The Izaak Walton Hotel is ideally located for walking, cycling and climbing, or for visiting the many local attractions. We have great fishing on The River Dove, a fishing gillie (or guide) and offer attractive packages throughout the year. Visit the Staffordshire Potteries, theme parks or nearby historic homes, such as Haddon Hall or Chatsworth House.
